Person
expressing themselves without caring about the outcome or audience that sees
or hears it.
|
An
author creates a set of words in order to speak to a person in just the right
way. Weather to get them to relate, or understand an idea they have; better
than someone who sends and angry tweet would.
|
People
can mindlessly “write” things all the time.
|
Authors
put a lot of work into making their thoughts presentable.
|
Writing
a birthday message on Facebook has a purpose of somebody specific seeing it.
|
If
a book has a dedication in it, the book is technically made for the person,
but the specific person does not have to read it to give it meaning. The way
a text or direct message would.
|
Young
writers struggle to be original. In my case; writing on social media I tend
to stay out of. I feel like nothing could be original anymore.
|
Authors
strategically mesh things together or analyze ideas to create originality of their
own. To me the difference between writing and being an author is that ability
to be original.
|
Pulling emotions into your brain and
expressing them is writing. Communication your thoughts on to a blog or to a
friend is a way of writing. But to me is different than being an author of a
book or literate piece.
|
Making
up a story. Entertainment or persuasion all has a purpose to rub a person the
right way. Depending if you want them to relate; understand; or agree with
you.
|
Writing
down your feelings can really only benefit you. In the long run, writing
about or talking about your emotions either makes you feel better inside for
being in touch with yourself, or makes you feel better because another person
can comprehend what you are thinking and feeling. Agree or disagree, and give
feedback.
|
As
an author, your job is basically to keep people thinking. To keep wanting
more, or to keep expanding their ideas. I can think of many examples of this.
In books or literature, that keep people coming back to authors for more. Writing
these days is more often used as a very necessary form of communication.
|
Similarities and Differences: Not everyone agrees that we
are all authors. While we can agree that this generation has an effect on the
way we live and work every day. It is becoming more of a priority to stay kept
up with the way the young mind and technology works; it actually seems to be
closing our mind off to the opportunities that are presented in front of us. To
me, writing is something you sit down and put a lot of thought towards. Not the
simple things that track across your mind on the daily. And are sometimes important
enough to share with social network.

Type of writing:
|
Enjoy/ despise it
|
Timed writing
|
I do not mind it because I feel
like the expectations are always less. But I do not like to have an
unfinished thought.
|
Narrative
|
Stories are very easy for me
to create and very enjoyable to me. Ideas don’t always come easy though.
|
Blogging
|
I enjoy blogging. I like the
idea of pictures and words coming together to show something about a person
that they themselves cannot express.

TEXT:
Hi Tina! It’s Sarah. I could really use your help with the party this weekend.
I was hoping you wouldn’t mind stopping by the store on your way over on Saturday.
Billy only likes pie and I custom ordered one with his name on it from Walmart.
Could you pick it up and bring it over here before the party starts? I paid for
it when I ordered it so it should be ready to pick up about 2. Thanks! – Sarah
Letter: Hello Friend,
I’m
throwing a party and I am in need of your assistance. First I need you to drive
to my house and pick me up. Then bring me to the store. At the store we need to
collectively pick out supplies. After we complete our trip we will need to
hurry home and set up the supplies tastefully. Thank you for all of your help.
Sincerely,
Jessica
RAP: If you’re smart you’ll drive to Walmart to
pick up supplies, don’t get a cake! Because Billy likes pies. Without a doubt before
you check out, get Billy a birthday surprise to fill his eyes with joy, oh boy
you still need to set up. Grab the forks plates and cups.
